The Adoption Program of Family Service Center of Sangamon County has been providing services to adoptive families over 100 years. Our program assists by creating and completing families through infant and special needs adoption, inter-country adoption assistance, home studies to help families with independent adoptions, and adoptive search services. Other, more specific, services include:

• Home studies
• Placement supervision
• Foster home licensing
• Education for adoptive parents
• Counseling for birth mothers

Fees and/or Funding

Fees charged within the Adoption Program are based on a percentage of the applicant's annual income or billed at an hourly rate, depending upon services provided.
